METI

The METI International Symposium (Messaging for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) will focus on aspects of communication with any potential intelligent extra-terrestrial life.

Topics will include: how to construct an understandable interstellar message, what an extra-terrestrial language might be like, what influence blindness (or other sensory difference) might have on language, and what created Earth languages (such as Dothraki) can tell us about linguistics among the stars.  Other topics may be added in advance of the event.
